The acquisition comes as part of the company’s determined efforts to provide an even more comprehensive range of distribution and delivery options to its rapidly increasing customer base.

 

The curtain sided version of the Mercedes Sprinter Luton allows the company to move goods that are long, or those that are loaded onto double pallets by permitting side loading of the goods. This can provide huge savings for customers by avoiding the need to upgrade their delivery to one of our 7.5 tonne or larger HGVs. Not only does it help save the customer money but can also offer many environmental advantages with transport being provided on a more fuel efficient vehicle.

Like our parcel services pallets can be delivered on one of our own vehicles as either a dedicated vehicle delivery or as groupage with other customers goods on either a same day or designated day service. Alternatively we can put your pallet into a pallet network for next day or a two to three day service. This will usually be a cheaper option on single pallets but does involve additional movement of your palletised goods with a slight increase in potential damage to goods in transit.

To minimise risk of damage to palletised loads it is important to use sturdy pallets that even if not new are not damaged to the point of risking injury to handlers or to goods.
