Economical Tall Load Delivery in Light Commercial Vehicles

When it comes to transporting tall loads / high loads: Defenda Couriers can provide a professional tall load delivery service for clients.

Whilst there are no legal height restrictions for goods being moved on British roads there are of course some practical considerations such as bridges & overhead cables.

Highway bridges are generally slightly over 5m high: allowing our flat bed / drop side vehicles with a bed one metre from the road surface to carry items 4 metres in height (with careful route planning).

Some bridges are considerably lower than this so if you are planning to move something tall you will always need to contact us in plenty of time to allow us to plan the route.

For short trips with no bridges or overhead cables to consider we can carry items even taller than 4 metres in height.

It may be necessary to test run the route in advance of transporting your goods & also provide escort vehicles for some loads.

If you would like to discuss transporting a high load then contact us as soon as possible before you plan to have the goods delivered so we can make the necessary checks.

Heavy Items Are Also No Problem

Our flat bed light haulage vehicles can carry item over a tonne in weight making them a cost effective alternative to heavy goods vehicles but we can supply HGVs for heavier tall items whenever they are needed.

The fleet of flat bed we operate are also very convenient for loads that need to be craned on to vehicles or off at the collection point.

All of our flat bed vans are Chapter 8 liveried & Highway Maintenance signed for delivery to sites with high levels of traffic.
